Mafenide

Mafenide (usually as mafenide acetate, trade name Sulfamylon) is a sulfonamide-type medication used as an antibiotic. Mafenide is used to treat severe burns. It is used topically as an adjunctive therapy for second- and third-degree burns. It is bacteriostatic against many gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.Wikipedia
The FDA-approved drug label [1] for mafenide states that fatal hemolytic anemia with disseminated intravascular coagulation has been reported following treatment with mafenide, possibly related to a G6PD-deficiency. However, no particular precaution, warning or test is discussed.
