HLA-DM

HLA-DM is a protein that affects antigen presentation in the HLA system, encoded by HLA-DMA and HLA-DMB. DM molecules regulate dissociation of CLIP proteins.
It has been associated with type 1 diabetes risk in Germans with high-risk DQA types. [PMID 10519369]
