The description for minor carriers is not precise enough: " Slightly (~1.5x) higher relative risk for ischemic heart disease due to higher extracellular SOD levels." Elevated risk of IHD is not due directly to higher extracellular SOD levels. but rather in this variant is caused by SOD enzyme failing to properly place itself at the endothelial wall.
